Physical Education
TMS Elementary Physical Education is conducted on Tuesdays from 8:30am – 9:30am by Mr. Kelly Corder.
Nutrition:
Make sure your child has a nutritious breakfast at least one hour before the class starts. Avoid dairy and citrus products. Please make sure your child is properly hydrated. Drinking water throughout the day is the best way to facilitate this. Students may desire to add more carbohydrates to their daily diet to accommodate their physical activities.
Clothing:
Students should be dressed in light, easy-moving clothing. Dresses and skirts are not recommended. Students should also wear athletic shoes-sandals are not suitable.
Curriculum:
Students will be learning about all aspects of physical education including nutrition, heart rates and body functions during exercise, hydration and proper exercise techniques. Students are encouraged to incorporate what they learn into daily exercise at home and recess. We will be learning about sports as well, including rules and practicing good sportsmanship. Students are encouraged to find exercise habits that they enjoy and remain safe yet strong throughout their entire lives.
