Lead Toddler Guide: Desert Tortoise

Ms. Cindy is indigenous to Arizona, specifically from the Navajo Nation. She is Navajo, her maternal clan is from the Water Edge clan and she was born for the Mescalero Apache clan...this is how she treads softly on Mother Earth. Ms. Cindy came to TMS to take advantage of the wholistic educational environment TMS offered to her children in the most nurturing way. She has seen resilience, success, growth, and unconditional love daily in every child...being in service of the Children is what keeps her here. Right out of high school, she went to House of Micheals Cosmetology Institute and became a licensed Cosmetologist. The dramatic cosmetology energy was not for her. 30 years ago, Ms. Cindy received her Child Development Associates degree from Northland Pioneer College. She became intrigued by the Montessori Method. So she began her studies at the Montessori Institute of San Diego to receive her Assistants to Infancy Diploma in 2002 taught by the great Dr. Silvana Montanaro. Education and knowledge are never ending, Ms. Cindy will continue to retrieve knowledge daily. Ms. Cindy volunteers for many organizations fighting for injustices done to the Earth, Water and Indigenous people around the world.

Ms. Cindy enjoys celebrating her well earned alone time cruising to oldies, taking in a rock show every now and then, spending a good amount of time at Indigenous events with family and tribes in the local area, taking photos, and cooking/baking for the loves of her life. She has a deep interest in paranormal activities which will take her to places she shouldn't be. She tries to live on the wild side...still. :)

Ms. Cindy has been serving our community since 1998.
